My tastes have been all over the map. I’ve read a few Russian books including a biography of Catherine the Great (some of Putin’s moves are reminiscent of Catherine’s actions). I’ve read some classics like Fahrenheit 450 which is an important reminder that freedom of speech for everyone is critical to a free nation, even when we disagree with what is said. I also devoured a newer novel titled The Lincoln Highway and a book about the famous Barbizon Hotel in New York City. My favorite recently read book is The Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland. A play has also been created telling this heartwarming 9/11 story and I will be seeing it during my travels. Click here to get my take on some of the books I have enjoyed recently.
